On behalf of the Denton Soccer Association and Kick It Kodi, we invite you to participate in the KIK Childhood Cancer Shootout – an event to promote awareness of childhood cancer and its impact on the children and families who are fighting an overwhelming battle. This year's tournament is also a fundraiser for the Tutt family. Kodi is continuing to have monthly chemo and antibody therapy at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
This tournament is for boys’ and girls’ teams in the following divisions:
U6-U19 Recreational and U11-U19 Select S1, S2, S3, and S4
The tournament will take place Friday, Nov 4th, through Sunday, Nov 6th, at Denton North Lakes Soccer Complex.

Playing Format and Cost
Playing Notes
- Team awards will be given for 1st Place and 2nd Place for the following divisions:
U10 and up Recreational and all Competitive
- Local teams (especially those whose coach has more than one team) will be expected to play Friday night, unless otherwise requested on the application.
- "Age pure" age groups will be created when possible.
- Non-local teams will NOT be required to play Friday night, unless otherwise requested.
Guest Players
- A guest player is a player you "borrow" from another team to fill a roster spot. You may not exceed the roster maximum for your age group. If the roster maximum for your age group is 18 and you have 16 players on your roster that are going to play, you can only bring 2 guest players, even though you are allowed to bring more.
- A guest player must be on NTSSA or USYS team registered for Fall 2016.
- A "Guest Player Release Form" must be signed for each guest player by their parent, releasing coach (whom they normally play for), and receiving coach (whom they are playing with in the tournament).

Tournament Rules
- Tournament Rules will be given to teams at tournament check-in.
If inclement weather cancels the tournament prior to start of first scheduled game, a maximum of 50% of the entry fee will be retained by the tournament to cover tournament costs.
Required Paperwork
- NTSSA/USYS or US Club Soccer official team roster - signed by Head Coach
- Guest Releases with ALL required signatures
- NTSSA or US Club Soccer medical releases for all players - do NOT need to be notarized, but it is recommended
- Misconduct/Game Report (7 copies)
